They say the stage is the place where everything shines – but what happens when the curtain falls? As the author of Rock Dreams, I wanted to show the world that no one sees: the pressure, the struggle for authenticity and the question of how much you have to sacrifice to live your dream. Tom and his band The Cry represent every artist who fights for their passion – and has to find themselves in the end.
But there is more to the story of Rock Dreams than that. Beyond the music lies a complex dynamic between the band members – friendship and rivalry, power and doubt. How far do you go to keep a shared vision alive? What happens when trust crumbles and outside decisions determine the fate of the band?
Tom is not just fighting against external pressure, but also against the expectations of his friends and rivals. Rock Dreams shows how power games and personal conflicts can make the stage not only shine, but also burn.
Born in Mecklenburg in 1962, I have followed a varied life path that has taken me through different careers and continents. After graduating from high school and a ten-year career in the army, I retrained in IT at Siemens. This gave me the opportunity to literally live and work all over the world for 15 years – including six years in the United States of America.
I have been living in Switzerland since 2001, where I have finally found the time to devote myself to a long-cherished dream: writing. With my debut novel “Rock Dreams”, I immerse myself in the world of music, friendship and inner conflict – a work that captures the passion and challenges of artists living for their dream.
